I have the same problem with my girlfriend. I would end up initiating sex most of the time. She would rarely refused, but if I didn't initiate we could go weeks without sex, which would frustrate me.

On the other hand, she enjoys when I give her back/body rubs without having to ask me for them all the time either.

So we have this sort of barter system where we exchange sex for a massage. If I feel like she hasn't initiated sex in while, I will give her a body massage and she will usually initiate sex in the next week or so.

It's not a perfect system, but I think it's a step in the right direction.
